About Me

Hello, friends! I’m Cat Reynolds, an undergrad student at Fordham University currently pursing a degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing, with minors in Journalism and Women’s Studies. I’m an NYC based writer, specializing in playwriting, libretto work, poetry, personal nonfiction, and journalism. I’m also, oddly and unexpectedly, known for a viral tweet about Santa’s (female) reindeer.

My professional experience varies from magazine publishing, public relations, editing, theater management,  and education. I have a number of interests, represented by my diverse work; however, writing is at the forefront of my passion. Writing of all kinds allows me to share and shape the world, whether it’s through interviewing students who have experienced sexual harassment or composing a musical that touches on adolescent mental illness. Through every piece, I discover something new about others, society, and myself. With my voice, I hope to call upon hope and compassion, and explore what makes us human.

If you’re interested in reading/hearing any of my work, navigate the tabs at the top of this page for my selected portfolio in various disciplines.
If you’re interested in discussing any Big Ideas (or if you want me to knit you a scarf–I’m a pretty average knitter), be sure to reach out.
