My name is Cat! I am an NYC based writer, editor, and enthusiastic eater. As a creative person with many interests, I have been fortunate to work across multiple disciplines. Professionally, I am a children’s book editor and have worked on books for Sesame Street and Dr. Seuss. I am a freelance writer as well, working on a variety of projects, from authoring licensed children’s books to covering the food scene in New York City for short form publications.
Before my career in publishing, I was a playwright and songwriter. I’m also, oddly and unexpectedly, known for a viral tweet about Santa’s (female) reindeer.
I graduated early from Fordham University in the fall of 2018, where I earned a degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing, with minors in Journalism and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.
